Rough Draft of My Life (Play)—Friday, August 19, 6:30pm through August 27 at Liv Lounge, 2001 11th Street, NW Washington, D.C. Biting, tender, harsh, gentle, profane and exalted, roughdraftofmylife is a one-act play that chronicles the passions, disappointments, triumphs and struggles of a modern African American woman through four female characters. Gems N Pearls Productions presents Lyricists Unleashed— Sunday, August 21, 5-11pm at Cross Roads, 78 North Avenue, Garwood, NJ. Special guest/host by Philly’s own Shyster and El Poeta. $200 cash prize for the best in the house. Costs $10.
