Here is a word from S. Ann Johnson about her staged reading on Tuesday, January 18. . .
Hey everyone. I am so excited that my latest play, “Sick Stories, Gentle Granddaddy,” has made it to the staged reading phase of the 30th annual Baltimore Playwrights Festival.
What is a “Staged Reading”?
Staged readings are an integral part of the playwriting process. It’s an opportunity for playwrights to see and hear their work outside or their minds and to get feedback from the actors, director and audience—before making changes to their script.
I need people in the audience who are not afraid to be honest (in a nice way). Your presence and feedback would be much appreciated.
Please join me, my director extraordinaire Alvin E. Ford Jr. along with our amazing staged readers: Naelis Ervin, Danielle Simpson, Morgan Mosley, Sam Patterson, Elle Blackwell and Portia Cloud.
