Friend to The Indiestry and visual artist Liz has started a new series called "Hanging Out With Some Of My Artsy Friends," inspired by artists who have inspired her.

"I am working on a new series. The premise of the series is inspiration, and is based on an Erykah Badu lyric 'hangin out with some of my artsy friends.' So, I am creating a series of paintings based on different artists who inspire me and my work, paired with quotes from them or their music that speak to my heart.  I am challenging myself to paint these portraits freehand without using some of the tricks and methods to make them look 100 percent perfect, but more from a heart and vibe space. I have also started incorporating some mixed media into the work."
