The sad truth about Saigon's soon-to-be-released-in-February-for-real debut album is that it literally was becoming "the greatest story never told." He made numerous guest appearances as himself on the critically-acclaimed HBO television series Entourage. He had a significant buzz with the song "C'mon Baby" with Swizz Beatz and even had a remix with Jay-Z. Still, the label refused to release the album because he did not meet their standards as to what was considered popular for hip hop musicians. After numerous delays, conflicts with the major label, a faux retirement and a faux comeback, leaving the label and fighting to obtain rights for the album, Saigon goes the independent route and finally gets his chance to showcase his debut album that was supposed to be released no less than FIVE YEARS AGO. The title track, produced by the incredible Just Blaze, showcases an MC who's determined to obtain success no matter the odds. Be sure to pick up The Greatest Story Never Told on February 15. It would be a shame if all of Saigon's efforts were for nothing. In the meantime, bask in the glory of the title track.
