Baltimore Playwrights Festival Reading Marathon Begins



The
30th annual Baltimore Playwrights Festival will commence tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 with a staged reading of "The Basement" by Adam Meyer. The festival will hold a public meeting at Fells Point Corner Theatre at 7:30 p.m., followed by the staged reading. There is no admission fee.

Fells Point Corner Theater is located at 251 South Ann St., Baltimore, MD 21117-2501. Parking is scarce near the theater, so expect to park on Broadway and walk a couple of blocks.

Can't make it tonight? BPF will also hold public readings Saturday, Nov. 20 at Vagabonds Theatre, located at 806 South Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21231-3408. The schedule for the Marathon is as follows:

11 a.m. "You Don't Get a Vote" by Richard Madzel
1 p.m. "Fat Club" by Kimberley Lynne
3 p.m. "Passport" by Kevin Kostic
