Poetry Slam Sponsored By Tyler Perry's 'For Colored Girls'




Burrowsink and Brooklyn Nights will host "Women's Empowerment Poetry Slam" on Friday, Oct. 27 at Nicholas (560 Fulton St in Brooklyn). The event is sponsored by Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls" film. The grand prize is $300. There are 12 slots available to compete and there will be movie give aways during the slam.
 
Doors open at 7 p.m., so come early and bring a friend!
