Weekend Hangover (June 18-20, 2010)



We have lots to do this weekend, so we're starting this post a little early!

In lieu of our typical Weekend Hangover post, we wanted to get you excited about our upcoming summer 2010 Visual Artists issue of The Indiestry Magazine , our online quarterly. Follow the links to a few of the visual artists who will be featured in our upcoming issue, which will launch this Monday, June 21!

Can a Sista Rock a Mic Festival—
ends Saturday, June 19 at various locations in the Washington, D.C area. Music and arts festival dedicated to amplifying the voice of women in music and beyond. In its 5th year, CASRAM showcases some of the nation's most talented women emerging in music and the arts.

Afro Beat Dance Party w/ African roots band Elikeh—

Knight School—
On Sunday, June 20, the Brooklyn-based band will perform at Bruar Falls. This 21+ show begins at 8 pm. The venue is located at 245 Grand Street Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY 11211.



Dinowalrus—On Sunday, June 20, Brooklyn's Dinowalrus will perform at Cameo Gallery. This 21+ show begins at 8 pm. The venue is located at 93 North 6th Street (between Berry & Wythe), Brooklyn, NY 11211.

Fool's Gold—On Sunday, June 20, the Los Angeles-based group  will perform at Hollywood Bowl. This all-ages show begins at 7 pm. The cost is $12. The venue is located at 2301 North Highland Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90078.
