The XX Chromosome Genome Project kicks off Strand Theater Company's 2010 Friends and Neighbors Fesitval: Works by Women

Indiestry executive S. Ann Johnson’s original play, The XX Chromosome Genome Project, will premiere TONIGHT at Strand Theater Company’s 2010 Friends and Neighbors Festival: Works by Women. The XX Chromosome Genome Project is a multicultural choreopoem that explores the similarities and differences between women of various ethnicities through poetry, song and dance (FYI: A choreopoem is a dramatic work that combines poetry and choreography). You have three chances to see her vision come to life:
- TODAY, Thursday, June 3, 8 pm;
- Friday, June 4, 8 pm; and
- Saturday, June 5, 8 pm
Directed by Alvin E. Ford Jr., the play stars Indiesty executive Donisha Adams (Chocolate), Jessica Baker (Vanilla),Chrisovalandou Diakokomninos (Cinnamon), Naelis Ervin (Caramel), Nina Marti (Lemon), and Lauren Wardell (White Chocolate).
Strand Theater Company is located at 1823 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 (two blocks north of Marc Train/Penn Station; one block north of Charles Theatre; one block south of North Avenue). There is a $2 parking garage across from Charles Theater and free street parking after 6 pm.
