Funding Alert: DanceMotion USA

Sponsored by the the Cultural Programs Division, within the Office of Citizen Exchanges of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the DanceMotion USA program was created to expose other countries to the best in American dance. Participating U.S. dance companies must specialize in hip-hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, or other forms of American dance. Dance companies will take four to six performance tours. Additionally, dance companies will participate in public workshops, outreach activities, lecture-demonstrations, and more. This funding opportunity is open to U.S. public and non-profit organizations. The award recipient will organize this event, and search for eligible dance companies. One grant will be funded through this opportunity. The anticipated funding amount is $1.5 million. See the FULL ANNOUNCEMENT for more information. The deadline for submissions is 27 May.
