eXcapethematriX Magazine Presents:"The eXperience"- Friday, April 2, 8 p.m. at Teavolve, 1401 Aliceanna Street, Baltimore, Md. BOÎTE: Night of the Blackbird-Friday, April 2, 8 p.m. at Minás Gallery
815 W. 36th Street, Baltimore, Md. Boîte is a series of intimate performances coinciding with Hampden's monthly first Friday celebration. This month it's a dialogue between the works of Steve Mantale and the songs of Adam Trice. Come sip a glass of wine and be amazed! Admission: up to you; they pass a hat.

 



MOIRA EGAN: Publication Party for SPIN-
Saturday, April 3, 5 p.m. at Minás Gallery
815 W. 36th Street, Baltimore, Md. Moira Egan will read from her newest book of poetry, Spin. Egan is also the author of Cleave; La Seta della Cravatta/The Silk of the Tie and Bar Napkin Sonnets. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Best American Poetry 2008.  Free admission.

Annual Easter Promenade
– Philadelphia’s South Street will host its annual Easter Promenade on Sunday. The parade will star the Mummers and have performances by the Universal African Drum Ensemble, the Philadelphia Circus School and the Philadelphia Capoeira Arts Center. There will be specials and discounts at all the local bars and restaurants with special events for kids. The parade will start at 1:00pm on S. 2nd St. and Lombard Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

A Year with Frog and Toad-
This Tony-Award nominated musical is being performed at 2:00pm on Sunday at the Eisenhower Auditorium in State College, PA. The event is for families and students of all ages. Tickets are $18 for adults, $13 for anyone under 18-years-old and $8 for PSU students.

Cherry Blast: A Night of Contemporary Art+Music
Friday, April 2: The National Cherry Blossom Festival and the Pink Line Project present this night of film, music, dance, art and fashion. There is a $10 cover charge (the cover includes one drink). This 21+ event runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The event will be located at 1701 Florida Ave. NW.
 



Vampire Weekend After-Party at DC9
