Press release: NYSC will hold music showcase to benefit NYU Pediatric Neurosurgery Center
The New York Songwriters Circle (NYSC) and several well-known songwriters/artists will be taking to the stage of the Triad Theatre (158 W 72nd St. between Broadway and Columbus) at 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 20th to jump start a fund raising drive to keep the NYU Langone Pediatric Neurosurgery Center open and help Dr. Weiner and Dr. Wisoff continue to save the lives of children. "The staff at the NYU Pediatric Neurosurgery Center saved my son Thomas' life," said Tina Shafer, Artistic Director for the New York Songwriters Circle. "These doctors are truly amazing 'artists' in their own right. The Center was there for me an my family in our time of need and since they are like family I will do everything I can to help them in their time of need."
Performing on the 9th will be New Jersey born and bred singer/songwriter Dan Ferrari, the NYSC's own Artistic Director and well-known singer/songwriter Tina Shafer (mother of Thomas), singer/songwriter and arranger Hillary Johnson and producer, musician and BMI award-winning songwriter Peter Zizzo (father of Thomas).
