Are you a film student? Wouldn't you like an Academy Award for your coursework? If you answered yes, your chance of being a Student Academy Award winner is well within reach.

Here are the details:
The Student Academy Awards is an annual competition for college and university filmmakers.  Winners – selected by the professional filmmaker members of the Academy – receive trophies (but not Oscar statuettes) and cash prizes.  Running time: Please note that the maximum running time is 40 minutes.

Domestic Application Deadline: April 1, 2010

Foreign Application Deadline: March 25, 2010

Did you know?

Spike Lee was a Student Academy Award winner in 1983. Since then he has received Oscar nominations for the original screenplay for “Do the Right Thing” and for the documentary feature “4 Little Girls.”
