Susan Kan, below, is the founding director/editor/publisher of Perugia Press, a nonprofit, independent literary press located in western Massachusetts. Before starting the Perugia Press, Kan received her MFA in creative writing from the Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.  Kan reviews about 500 manuscripts each year and therefore knows what it takes to get poetry published.
