Featured Venue: Ambassador Theater (International Cultural Center)

The Ambassador Theater International Cultural Center offers a truly unique cultural experience. CEO and Artistic Director Hanna Bondarewska, says that she created the newly-founded center to "bring together different cultures and artists in a cultural dialogue." Bondarewska has wasted no time spreading Ambassador Theater's mission, which in her words is to "promote cultures around the world through professional performances and shows."

Last year, in partnership with the Embassy of Poland, Bondarewska took a group of young students from Southeast, Washington, D.C. on a trip to Poland. The 12-day trip was at no cost to the students.
"It was a lifetime experience for [the students]. It provided them with an opportunity to learn about the culture, and perform at the presidential palace," said Bondarewska.

Other events hosted by the Ambassador Theater include Hopa Tropa, which is a children's show based on Bulgarian culture; "Out to Sea," which is a Polish play by Slawomir Mrozek; an adaption of " Madame Helena Emigre' Queen" by Dr. Kazimierz Braun, at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland; and more.

On January 15, Ambassador Theater at Flashpoint's
Mead Theater (located at 916 G St., NW, Washington, D.C.) featured a gripping performance of a new monologue by RULA called Not My Label: A Journey of Discovery. This true story explored compassion, taboos, self-identity and more.

Bondarewska is in search of culturally-diverse, people who want to share their creativity, in hopes of opening a global dialogue. Contact Bondarewska at artisticdirector@aticc.org if you think that this is YOU!
