"Catalyst" by Candice D. Iloh

Spoken word artist and writer Candice D. Iloh has a gift for honest and concise storytelling. A number of writers shy away from this type of expression—they fear that they might expose too much of themselves...but not this powerful poet.
What's your catalyst?
In 2009, Iloh released her first book of poetry entitled "Catalyst." A lot of people discover their "true selves" while in college, but this is also where Iloh blossomed as a writer and poet. The poems within the book were written over a 3-year span, during her college years at Howard University.
"Catalyst" explores themes such as anxiety, family, depression, religion and womanhood. Iloh touches on these issues and a lot more, while utilizing brilliant metaphors and imagery. Now, we know that you are asking, "How can I get my hands on this book of poetry?" Well, you are in luck, because on Jan. 25, Iloh will be performing at the Sherlington Busboys and Poets in Arlington, Va.
If you cannot make it to Bus Boys and Poets contact Iloh through LinkedIn or Facebook to buy a copy of "Catalyst."
