The Afropunk Movement: Individuality at Its Best

Afropunk is described as "the other black experience" , in fact, punk music has become so popular among African-Americans that it has become a way of life—a movement. In a 66-minute documentary called ,  "Afro-Punk" producer, director and editor James Spooner explores race relations and the punk scene. The documentary follows a group of young, African Americans as they  express themselves through punk music. The audience will see them strive for acceptance from the black community as well as the punk scene. Check out the trailer!!
