Funding for the Arts
Don't think that arts-related organizations are immune to the recession. Over the years, funding for such organizations has dwindeled. However, the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities stand to recieve $167.5 million each, for fiscal year 2010. Also, the Smithsonian will recieve $30 million, according to the Associated Press. This surge in arts support is part of a bill that President Obama was all set to sign over the weekend.
